And some of the jokes there are priceless.

Someone once asked me if there was any real difference between engineers, scientists, and managers in today's high tech companies. Although the differences are often subtle to an outsider, you can tell one from another simply by the questions they ask.
Engineering: "How will this work?"
Science: "Why will this work?"
Management: "When will this work?"
And in today's technological environment, this is often followed by:
Liberal Arts: "Do you want fries with that?"

So, for all the folks here who hate math - is there any one particular bit of math that you do like?

i love learning about math, all the fun little questions that we still haven't answered despite being upward of like 200 years old in a lot of cases, just not a fan of having to do math

Same. I like learning how things all fit together and how you can use logic and math to solve all sorts of weird problems, but actually doing it is always a challenge. I think that's what drew me to science fiction to begin with. All those weird problems have been ironed out in those stories, so you get to enjoy a spaceship or a planetary habitat or laser gun for what they are and not worry about all the engineering that goes into them

It's the number of regular shapes in each dimension starting with 0 dim.

Sup! I'm a math nerd and I'm looking for my kind... on a porn site. Yeah, maybe not the best spot, but what do I know!

We can discuss anything and everything here, long as it's nerdy and/or technical.

To start off, here's a sequence of not-quite natural numbers:
1, 1, infinity, 5, 6, 3, 3, 3, ...
Anyone have an idea where it comes from? Hint: it has something to do with regular polytopes.

Nerds, I come seeking help. I'm trying to calculate bike trail without having triple clamp offset data. How do?

I tried brute forcing to match manufacturer's specs. The math isn't matching
