Me, I would just download DAZ3D and try.

Or, better yet, hopefully someone else who is more techinically-minded will answer this; the various benchmark sites I've looked at seem to say no, but I'm just an artist-slash-coder.

@epw14: It's a good job, and a good joke too, "but thinking in this is really painful", but funny. :);)

@Rosa Melano 8GB is pretty much the very limit to run anything on windows - DAZ or not. Windows itself uses up to 4GB of memory already to just run itself and background stuff. If you have a Nvidia card it would take the biggest load at rendering times if configured to do so but the overall performance for DAZ will definitely be on the lower end.

Honestly if it does work quality will be aweful, daz will crash several times due to lack of ram and rendering will take an absolute age. Plus lighting will probably cause your pc to crash. I would advice a top of the line nvidia gfx card with 8gb of onboard ram and about 12 gigs of dedicated ram. Aswell as atleast a 3ghz quad core processer overclocked and making sure all are running as windows disables your cores for some stupid reason.

DS is Daz Studio, at least in this context.
I'm not familiar with Sunset Riders.
Wrong. DS = DarkSilver, or whomever the idiot dev is that makes "Big Brother". In other words, you can piss off large chunks of your audience, and milk the hell out of them and people will still throw money at you.

Sunset Riders makes "Something Unlimited" and there was a big uproar abotu the fact the dev baremy updated the game for a few months, but instead spent a large portion of their Patreon rewards those two months hiring real (low quality) porn actors to act out their other games.

We already covered this. 2-3 posts down from where you quoted me 6 pages ago.

No 'ds' is DarkSilver. The dev of the infamous big brother game...
OK. I guess I stand corrected. He said them, not him, and DS is an abbreviation us Daz users use regularly on the Daz forum, so pardon my confusion.

Thanks for the clarification in this context.

No you don't have to worry. After the huge amount of negative feedback Sin got from the sexy dress crap with mom and her boss, he basically promised there will be no NTR'esque content shit in DoD. :)
It's good news, I was playing conservative route, only for don't play another NTR.

Holy shit, how much is a pc with those specs? I don't believe that every dev has a computer like that.

Hmm, last I checked it was something like your firstborn, both hands, and your left testicle (or ovary)....

In reality, if you go for deals only and get a solid motherboard, you're looking at around 1.5-3k minimum depending on what you get quality/brand wise, and as much as 8-10k normal for the very top of the line (on everything from motherboard to SSD's and GFX card(s) to quad or octo-core processors). In the end, it really depends on what exactly you get, but regardless of what it is, you don't want any one part to be a low-end "cheap-y" as that can easily bottleneck your entire system which renders the rest of the extra "power" moot and useless til you upgrade the part causing the bottleneck.

I have a nVidia gtx 970, core i-7 4790k, ASUS Hero VII motherboard, a 256gb SSD, 4 other harddrives (1 3TB WD Black, and 3 2TB blue/other), an 850 EVGA PowerSupply, and 16GB Sniper Ram... It cost me a little over 2k and that was about 2 & 1/2 years ago.

Most devs have rigs like this. Will set you back between 1 and 5k.
2x Quadro P6000 24 gig ram sli
I7 quad core 3ghz processor
32gig of dedicated ram
8 gigs of virtual ram
Thats my rig cost me 12k
