- They never failed to deliver this tune in anything less than a stellar performance, anytime we saw them!
Willie Royal - Violin
Wolfgang "Lobo" Fink - Guitar
"Live" Music is Best!
This is 1 of the 5 songs I want played when I die. I am a old school country/southern rock/blues/outlaw country fan. This is my favorite song of all time.
I wish I could play it, wonder if there's a score for it. I'd need a 5 string violin though.
its incredible that this awesome song was filmed . thx so much ❤❤
I will never forget that feeling i felt the first time I heard
Rocking Gypsies. 20 something years later and its
still rockin my soul.
Thank you for uploading and sharing! I love this song and it's incredible to be able to see them perform it!!
One of the most incredible unknown musical gems that I've ever had the privilege to experience live (multiple times). I still recommend W&L to anybody who will listen and their music will always melt my heart. RIP Willie. You are missed.
The violin in Rockin’ Gypsies is just an amazing piece of music. I wish I could find it. It is because of it that I started taking violin lessons
@@HamidRehman100794 That's neat! I play the violin and always wanted to play this song, too. I don't play much anymore but this song makes me want to. I wonder if someone has ever written (transposed?) the notes Willie is playing.
Saw them play live, loved their music and now listen to it when I need a fix.
I always thought it was more people than just them playing. It sounds like 3 or four different instruments going. I wish I could have seen them play live. Lobo still posts videos of himself playing on his fb page.
On record it was sometimes more than just the 2 of them. But not very often did they add more than a few other players. They kept the music very personal and intimate. It was their intent to connect with the audience. Which they did! 🎼🎻🎸impeccably!
@@Nothin66 Maybe on the cd recording it was more than just them? Thanks for the insight!
@@L.Spencer Nope, I just listened to it & it's just the 2 of them. But I understand why you say it sounds like there are more players. It's the way they recorded it. It's very present & in-your -face. The instruments were recorded as loud as they could get them & there are no studio effects on them. They're totally natural...... 🎼🎵🎹😎
I agree, even while watching this it seems like they're more than two playing. You can sense their intensity while playing. I get goose bumps listening as they approach the climax. I sadly read about Willie Royale's passing away. In my next life I want to be able to play the violin like him.
These guys were great live. Very animated and clearly loved the music they played and enjoyed playing together.
İnanılmaz.
Love these guys; they just effusive emotion!!
Omg
Why there is no good video of them playing this song live??
This IS a 'live' performance of the song filmed in San Miguel de Allende!
