The result was Snowily kept- I'm being bold and closing this per WP:SNOW . Umbralcorax (talk) 01:47, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Eurovision Song Contest 2010 (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Delete per WP:CRYSTAL. Article can be re-created closer to the time once more infomation is known about the event and a wider range of third party sources becomes available Dalejenkins |[1] 20:09, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete?? Have you a brain problem? Hahaha I think it's not time for jokes..;) TouLouse (talk) 20:18, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete WP:CRYSTAL. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Many otters • One hammer • HELP) 20:32, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Just some hour to go. We use to allow the article after the winner is announced. J 1982 (talk) 20:34, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep. Everything the article contains at the moment is verifiable - it's as certain as the 2012 Summer Olympics article. Talk/♥фĩłдωəß♥\Work 20:43, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. By the end of tonight, we'll know the next host country. No sense in deleting it. Fences and windows (talk) 20:59, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Notable song contest in itself, and the next scheduled event is close enough to not be crystalballing. Pretty straightforward... --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 21:07, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - we know the location and probable dates, the countries entering and the host nation/broadcaster. This is what we are here for. --AlisonW (talk) 22:09, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. There's no question. Information is sourced, host country is decided. --Kazu89 ノート 22:14, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per Kazu89. YeshuaDavid (talk) 22:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep per Philaweb. sicaruma | contribs 22:18, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep . Frivolous nomination. It is a wikipedia tradition that the Eurovision of the year n+1 is created on the day of Eurovision of year n. Hektor (talk) 22:46, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep. It's only a year not like the 2020 Olympic Games. -- [[ axg ⁞⁞ talk ]] 22:24, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep - An absurd proposal. -- SGBailey (talk) 22:25, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep - Sorry but is this AfD actually needed now the 2009 event is over? Fkmd (talk) 22:30, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep do it now! chandler ··· 22:33, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep obviously. There is no doubt that this event will take place. DWaterson (talk) 22:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep Let's quickly remove this annoying tag from an obviously legitimate article.--Avg (talk) 22:45, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep - And this violates Wp:CRYSTAL how? We now it's gonna happen. We know it's gonna be in Norway. We even now when it (may) take place. (Additional note - How many votes are needed for a Wp:SNOW keep?) DitzyNizzy (aka Jess)|(talk to me)|(What I've done) 22:47, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete/merge to Eurovision Song Contest. Too soon, not enough information, lots of speculation. We know the dates and a handful of participants - and we know that certain nations won't be eligible. And that's it. Delete, recreate when there's more less speculation and something to actually write about. Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 22:58, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment: this AfD was, in good faith, speedily closed; I reverted the speedy closure, and request that an admin review my actions. Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 23:00, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Admin review's not really necessary. I closed it; and I'm of the opinion that WP:BRD applies to non-admin closures (and the act of reverting my close shows that the decision was contentious, which means WP:NAC is automatically inappropriate). I specifically said as much in my closing statement so there's no matter for an admin to review.—S Marshall Talk/Cont 23:39, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Snow keep per everyone except TPH and This Flag.—S Marshall Talk/Cont 23:39, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Uh, there are two other deletes before TPH and me ;-) Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 23:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry. Snow keep per everyone except the nominator, TPH and This Flag. (TouLouse's seems more like an incredulous exclamation than a !vote to me.)—S Marshall Talk/Cont 00:57, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Uh, there are two other deletes before TPH and me ;-) Cheers, This flag once was redpropagandadeeds 23:44, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep - Just leave it alone. Its more definately than not going to happen and information will develop rapidly. We've already got confirmed participants, and this page would only be re-created very shortly. Welshleprechaun (talk) 23:41, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Warp 10 keep The one next year is fine, WP:CRYSTAL applied more to ones much further out than that. Obviously anything else would be an excess. Now that we know host and some participants, it will grow and become more accurate. Ravenmasterq (talk) 23:55, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep This is absolutely ridiculous. It's an annual contest held 54 years in a row with 100 million TV-viewers. Every year it's expected that the winner will host the contest the following year. After Norway won tonight, NRK has confirmed that they will host the contest, and Trond Giske, Minister for Culture has stated that the venue will be announced before the summer begins. Just like IOC does not decide to organize yet another Olympic Games every four years, the EBU does not decide every year that they will host another contest. It's a given. The notion that the 2010 contest isn't a certainty is simply laughable. TrondM (talk) 23:58, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep We now know enough about next year's contest to be able to justify keeping this page. It'll only be created again anyway at some point (and kept), so what's the point in deleting it now? --Andrew (My talk) 00:43, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy keep - There are enough sources and the hosting country has been chosen. ραncακemisτακe (talk) 01:12, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Snow keep per all keep !votes above. John Sloan @ 01:44, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
