| Thread moved from Casual Discussion I actually have read a hentai for the plot lmao. I started reading it for the same reason all of us read them, but I actually really enjoyed the characters and started to read it for the plot :P Can't say I've done the same with anime hentai though. The characters tend to be extremely generic and predictable. |
| I decided to do it once, I was like "let's watch some hentai and pretend it's like a film with sex scenes like antichrist or blue is the warmest color", so I downloaded some random one, but of course it was a stupid decision, couldn't even watch 10 minutes and had to stop because all there was to it was... sex, after a 1 minute setup scene. I learned my lesson that day, there's no such thing as watching hentai for the plot. Even if a series has an interesting one, it's probably still very shallow and we're better off watching something else. |

| Urutsukidoji and Kite have perfectly adequate stories, which I've watched them at least partially for. (And the other part of that 'partially' was mostly just plain curiosity.) It's a matter of semantics whether something that can be successfully watched as conventional storytelling ceases to be correctly classified as 'hentai'. |

Of course man, there's a lot of restriction in porn while Hentai has the freedom to do what ever they want. I want to see these creative thoughts poured by people, and Hentai are the ones that pops out when I was searching for Cartoons and Anime during 2005, and I was a kid at that time, so basically I've been searching for them for more than ten years when and has become a hobby of mine to finish those hentais. | Well there's a hentai anime called Shikkoku no Shaga which is pretty bad as porn but surprisingly interesting in terms of premise and plot so I guess that's one (not that that's what I started watching it for in the first place mind you but that's how it ended up) There's also this super interesting doujin called Ano Ko wa Toshi Densetsu which is absolutely worth reading for the story alone Can give a shoutout to Monster Girl Quest if we count VNs as well: despite the countless messed up sex scenes in it, it's actually pretty hype in terms of the overarching fantasy plotline too (and a kickass soundtrack to boot) |

| I read Fuuga's work not because it is hentai. I truly loved his work to be honest. Also, Oyasumi Sex is also one of the works that I really loved and hailed not because of its erotic content. Akatsuki Myuuto's works have their own flow which is quite good, and is still fappable. |
| Well if by hentai you mean porn only created to get people to fap to it then no, not really. But MAL doesn't just tag porn as hentai, it also tags anything that has sex in it. I'd say Kite isn't really a hentai, it doesn't focus on the sex scenes and they are not designed to arouse but be functional and serve the plot. But even if you disagree, there's no way anyone can tell me the arthouse movie Kanashimi no Belladonna is porn. But it is tagged as hentai, I watched it and it's pretty awesome. Just shouldn't have the hentai tag just because it isn't about hand-holding. |
