| I honestly prefer the anime. Not only is the animation phenomenal (and the soundtrack too), the slow pace of the anime is actually really favourable for me here (I’ve not seen much of the Wano arc, I just watched some eps to substitute for the manga, but the anime was too slow for me). In the manga, the whole Gear 5 reveal and fight seemed a bit too fast for smth epic like this, but maybe it’s because I’m not reading it weekly. Also, for those who caught up to the manga, does Luffy just keep spamming gear 5 now, or does it show up in an acceptable amount? |

The scale and speed that he has access to is alot more fearful when you view it from the eyes of the man he’s tryna beat up. The laugh seemed so fun back in wano but now i could see how someone could get trauma from it😂 See this is what I like abt Gear 5, imagine ur ass is getting whooped by this random ass kid who looks like he got Marie Antoinette Syndrome and he’s just laughing throughout the whole thing. |

| i like both ofc but definitely prefer the anime version. i feel like the absurdity and wackiness of gear 5 translates better over to the anime and it feels more epic as well. elevation of the manga for sure. |

| Idk, I don't read manga and I just don't like G5 that much overall, Gear 2nd is the peak for me and it seems that it will stay like that. |
